Interview with CS60 Practitioner Hiroshige Okamoto (Part II)

There are many different people involved with the CS60. But what is it that is going in their heads that is motivating their practice?
We decided to conduct interviews with the people involved in CS60, because we wanted to know the answer to this question.
Following on from last time, we continued our conversation with Hiroshige Okamoto at the CS60 HQ.
―――――――――――――――――――――――――
– What motivated you to quit your old job and make the decision to dedicate yourself just to the CS60?

Okamoto: The HQ moving to Aoyama last August was a turning point for me. I heard talk around the place that there were going to be more and more people coming for training, the recognition of the CS60 was going to grow, and we were going to be short of people, so I thought I should do what I could, and so started working here.

– You’re currently also in charge of training new staff, right?

Okamoto: Yes, that’s right.
I was told when I started teaching the people coming for training to teach the basics, that is, the idea that the CS60 is supposed to treat all of the cells in the body, instead of going by the “do you feel that sharp pain”, method of getting the idea across.

– You’re the lead trainer now, right?

Okamoto: To be honest, when I started, I felt like, “really? Me?” We have people opening osteopathic and chiropractic clinics coming in for training. I feel like there is just a basic gulf in knowledge and technical ability between myself and people like that. The reason I felt able to take on that responsibility was that I felt that it was important that I convey the “non-technical aspects” of the CS60, so that Dr. Nishimura’s vision came across faithfully.

– What would you say those non-technical aspects are?

Okamoto: Dr. Nishimura spent a long time treating people as a volunteer. There was a strong sense of working not for money but “for people.” When we get people, who don’t share Dr. Nishimura’s vision, I want to convey the doctor’s way of thinking to them through the training.
I think that that is what Dr. Nishimura really expects from us.

– And as for you, Mr. Okamoto, what is your personal vision?

Okamoto: For me, I started out with the CS60 because I thought that if there was something even I, with my limited abilities, could do for people, then I wanted to try to do it. I want to continue on in my work with that sort of consciousness.
With the CS60 having spread as much as it has, I suppose it is my mission to help spread the word about it faithfully, and engagingly.
Dr. Nishimura is going to get busier and busier from here on out, so I think it’s important that we all work together to make things happen.

De nombreuses personnes sont concernées par le CS60. Dans quel but l’utilisent-elles ?
